The inaugural Chief Financial Officers (CFO) Meet, organised under the aegis of the World Energy Council India, was held on 16th January, at the Scope Complex. The meeting was chaired by the Director (Finance), NTPC and attended by Directors and CFOs from various power sector CPSEs, including NLC, PGCIL, NHPC, SJVN, THDC and NEEPCO.

In his welcome address, the Director (Finance), NTPC emphasized that this platform could serve as a valuable forum to deliberate on shared financial challenges, regulatory frameworks and compliance with guidelines issued by statutory bodies such as DIPAM, DPE, NFRA, ICAI, ICSI, and RBI. He also highlighted the importance of sharing best practices among CPSEs and acknowledged the increasing responsibilities of the finance function in recent years.

The forum was envisioned as a space for informal discussions on both existing and emerging issues in the finance domain. The first meeting concluded successfully with the participants addressing various common concerns and formulating an actionable roadmap. It was further agreed to hold such meetings regularly to continue fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
